We could write a book on this one (people have). There are endless instances of prudish silliness in Fryer, Findlater, and others. One instance will suffice here. Many women have been positively repelled by the sight of the male body. A woman of seventy, the mother of seven children, said that she had never seen a naked man in her life; and her sister admitted she had never looked at her own nakedness, because it frightened her (P. Fryer “The Birth Controllers”).
